We met at 9 o'clock at Wellington School and drove to Edinburgh. During the two hours bus journey we had a chance to see the beautiful Scottish landscape and to talk with the others.
When we arrived in Edinburgh we were split into two groups. Group A started their visit at Edinburgh Castle and went after that to Dynamic Earth. Group B visited Dynamic Earth first and then went to Edinburgh Castle. At the castle we had time to walk around and to see the Scottish National War Memorial and the fantastic view over Edinburgh. At the top of Castle Rock it was very windy but the sun was shining. The most special attraction was the Scottish Crown Jewels.
At Dynamic Earth we did a workshop about 'How to find aliens' and watched a movie about life in space in a planetarium.
After the activities both groups had time to visit the old town of Scotland's capital. The Royal Mile was very wonderful and had a lot of nice shops. We bought souvenirs and typical Scottish things, for example scarfs or short bread.

At 5 p.m. we met at @pizza and ate very good garlic bread and pizza. We liked creating our own pizza toppings like Scottish mozzarella cubetti , grilled red onion, bacon and some other delicious things. After the tasty dinner we drove back to Ayr. Although we were very tired we enjoyed the evening with our hosts. We really loved Edinburgh and would have liked to have stayed longer.
